Meetings created here are written to the linked Google and Outlook calendars right away, using the rooms account. A meeting someone adds on the linked room calendar in Google or Outlook is copied to the other calendar after a pull (about 10 minutes, or click Pull all linked). There is no live webhook. A meeting Google files on someone’s personal calendar is not the room, so it is not copied to Outlook.

Calendars

Connect each type you need — Google, Outlook, and Apple — with a rooms account the company keeps, even if you personally use only one. If a teammate who clicked Connect leaves, everyone on that calendar loses the connection. Then pick which calendar is this room.

Connecting lets RoomKnit read and update events on the room calendar you pick and share that calendar with your teammates. We don't sell your data or use it for ads. Privacy policy

Google is still in Testing mode. Until this app is published, only people allowed to try it can Connect Google. Add this rooms account as someone allowed to try it, or use an account that is already allowed, then select Connect Google again.

Need admin approval. Have your Microsoft admin grant admin consent for the organization, then select Connect Outlook again.

Use the rooms Apple ID, not a personal one. Create an app-specific password at account.apple.com → Sign-In and Security → App-Specific Passwords. RoomKnit cannot share Apple calendars automatically — after you link the room, Share Apple calendars emails the names so you can share from iCloud.

Team

Invite each firm and any assistant by email. Pick the calendar they use (Google, Outlook, or Apple) so we share only that one. We send a join link and also show it here so you can copy it if needed. Invited people show as “waiting to join” until they click Join workspace — Sign in alone does not add them. Leave “manage my bookings” unchecked unless you want that person to edit your meetings. Owners and admins can change a person’s role between Member and Admin.
